The most frequent support issue is the "perceived" problem that The CyberAngel® with Wi-Trac is prohibiting modem use. In nearly all instances this is caused by violating The CyberAngel® Security password when booting up that protected computer. Ensure that the NUM LOCK key is not engaged, as this can effect password entry. In addition, one click of the mouse outside the password entry box will also cause a violation of password entry system. Upon proper password entry, your computer will operate normally. Upon violation of that password entry, the COM Ports will be locked from that "unauthorized user", and access to dial-up connections, signature tablets, PDA Sync Managers and any other item connected to a COM Port will be denied. If the password violation is accidental, simply re-boot your computer and properly enter your The CyberAngel® Security Password.

Programs that are configured to seize a COM port on start-up could possibly cause a conflict with The CyberAngel® Security Software. If you notice a conflict, it is suggested that you take that program / application out of your start-up menu, and place an Icon onto your desktop so that you can manually activate that program / application after you have successfully entered your CyberAngel® Security Password. Some other security programs will require re-configuration to allow The CyberAngel® Security Software to work with them.
